#1 ATH In 2028 Class Drops Top 5 With Notre Dame Making The Cut

2028 4-Star ATH Kamieon Compton-Nero (45th Natl. 1st Pos.) drops Top 5 schools with Notre Dame making the cut alongside Oklahoma, Ole Miss, Alabama, and SMU.
“So much of who Notre Dame is on and off the field aligns with who I am and who I want to develop to be. I had developed a good relationship with Wes Yerty when he was at Ole Miss and then the relationship with Coach Henry has been great with me and my family. He’s a coach I could be in his room and have a lot of success. Then Coach Freeman is one of the best in the game so not much needs to be added to that. I’m excited to get on campus November 7th.”
Compton-Nero is a 6-3 187lbs ATH out of Owasso High School (OK) where he is a dual sport athlete in both football and basketball. He holds over 30 D1 offers and is ranked 1st overall ATH in the 2028 class. he is scheduled to at Notre Dame on November 7th for the Miami game.
I spoke to him earlier this year about locking in a visit and this is what he had to say about his upcoming trip to Notre Dame:
“I’m excited to get to see the campus and the football facilities in person. Just as excited to spend time with the coaches in person and better understand culture, history, and how they feel I can be a big part of what they are doing. I’ve developed a great relationship with Coach Henry and others and they feel who I am on and off the field fits perfectly with what Notre Dame looks for and is about.”
