2027 4-Star CB Ace Alston (ND Commit) dominated not only on the defensive side of the ball but also on special teams Friday night against West Clermont. Alston is a Top 100 player nationally in the 2027 class, and on Friday night he proved exactly why. He finished the night with two pass breakups, two INT’s (unfortunately one was called back due to a penalty), a punt return for a touchdown, and 112 yards gained on punt returns.
With Alston's brilliant performance on special teams and in the backfield, he helped his team go on to defeat West Clermont High School by a score of 70-19 in blowout fashion. Yes, you read that right: 70-19 was the final score of the game, with complete dominance coming from both sides of the ball by the Anderson football team.
Alston committed to Notre Dame back in December 2025, and it's easy to see why the recruiting staff was so thrilled for his commitment. He's a Top 100 player nationally, a Top 10 CB in the nation, and one of the best overall recruits in the state of Ohio. Add in his ability on special teams on punt returns, and you've got a dynamic player who can win you games in more ways than one.
As Alston continues to shine and grow each week, the excitement from Irish fans grows in anticipation of what he'll bring to South Bend next year as this next great cornerback comes to Notre Dame by way of Ohio.
