Carrollwood Day junior defensive lineman Zylen Little is putting together an impressive start to his junior season, making his presence felt on both sides of the football through the first five weeks.
Little has recorded 30 total tackles, 22 tackles for a loss, and 7.5 sacks through the opening five weeks. He has also added two fumble recoveries and a forced fumble, showing his ability to consistently disrupt opposing offenses and create extra opportunities for his team.
Little has contributed on the offensive side of the ball as well, with one receiving touchdown, giving Carrollwood Day another way to utilize his athleticism and playmaking ability. That versatility has made him an important piece for the Patriots so far this season.
Little’s ability to consistently get into the backfield has been one of the biggest storylines of his junior season so far. His 22 tackles for a loss and 7.5 sacks through five weeks demonstrate just how disruptive he can be along the defensive front. In his latest game against Chamberlain, Little turned in a season-best performance with 6 tackles all resulting in a loss of yards, and 2.5 sacks.
With plenty of football still remaining, Little has already established himself as one of the most talented defensive linemen in the 2028 recruiting class. His combination of size, strength, and production continues to make him a defensive presence opposing offenses have to account for every time he lines up.
Little is a top target for Notre Dame and is scheduled to visit on November 7th for the highly anticipated Miami game. Notre Dame will look to impress the young prospect in hopes of landing a commitment from him in the future.
