Breaking: Notre Dame To Honor Lou Holtz This Season

Notre Dame will honor Lou Holtz this season with a sticker on the back of the helmets like they’ve done in the past for Coach Ara Parseghian and Fr. Ted. They announced this morning with a video via social media (see below) ⬇️

Lou Holtz is one of the most accomplished football coaches ever and was the last living Notre Dame Head Coach to win a National Championship for the Irish prior to his passing on March 6, 2026.

It’s a great honor and truly brings home the saying “Do it for Lou” as Notre Dame looks to win its first National Championship this season since Lou Holtz himself brought one to South Bend in 1988.
