2028 3-Star LB Julian Bruno has been putting together a very productive season, consistently finding ways to impact games and make his presence felt on the defensive side of the ball.
Through the season so far, Bruno has recorded 66 total tackles, including 40 solo stops, showing his ability to get to the football and finish plays. He has also been disruptive in the backfield with 8 tackles for a loss and 2 sacks, creating negative plays and putting pressure on opposing offenses.
Bruno’s impact has extended beyond simply making tackles. He has already forced four fumbles this season and recovered another, giving his defense multiple opportunities to create extra possessions. He has also contributed six passes defended, demonstrating his ability to affect the passing game when the ball comes his way.
His current stat line for the season includes:
● 66 total tackles
● 40 solo tackles
● 8 tackles for loss
● 2 sacks
● 4 forced fumbles
● 1 fumble recovery
● 6 passes defended
The combination of production and disruption makes Bruno a player who can influence a game in multiple ways. Whether he is tracking down a ball carrier, getting into the backfield, creating a turnover, or making a play in coverage, he has consistently found opportunities to impact the game; because of this, he landed on Notre Dame's radar early, and he continues to be a top target for the Irish.
With more football still ahead, Bruno will have the opportunity to build on an already impressive season and continue establishing himself as a defensive playmaker to watch in the 2028 class.
